Kristina Kilborn started her fitness journey once she got into college, studying nutrition and kinesiology. Growing up in a Sicilian household, food was love, food was the center of every get-together. That being said, she had an extra 60lbs that she was carrying around through high school. With the information she studied, she was able to lose this weight and developed a passion for nutrition and fitness.
After losing weight, she was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid as well as Rheumatoid Arthritis. This pushed her to study physical therapy to help support the joints. With this knowledge came the passion to share what she had learned with others, and it led her down the path of personal training, specializing in weight loss, particularly with immunocompromised clients and post-surgery/rehabilitation.
After 12 years as a trainer, she continues to learn and grow with the industry and her passion to work with all ages has also grown through the years. Her favorite quote is one from Julia Childs (tying her love for food into the mix of course) – “Find one thing you’re passionate about and stay tremendously interested in it”.
